A Pirate’s Time Served has everything for kids and adults too: Pirates, ghosts, buried treasure, even a seaplane. Turn the pages as the ghost of pirate Black Bart comes alive to join forces with two over-privileged teens and their relatives on St. Croix in a modern-day quest to discover priceless buried treasure and along the way, their life’s mission under the most unlikely and dangerous circumstances.
Here is just one of the reviews of this timeless young adult book now available in paperback, eBook, and on Audible: Let me just say that I loved this book! I thought it was fun, cute, and refreshing. If you read the synopsis, you get the gist of the book–Brian and Sarah decide to stay with their aunt and uncle in the Caribbean for the summer and while there, they unearth some pirate awesomeness.
One of the reasons I loved this book is that it was such an easy read and so appropriate for the age group, which is probably around the tween age. I can see both girls and boys liking it, but love that it is a book for boys, since you don’t see quite as many of those on the market. This book whisks you away to somewhere different and any lover of the beach and pirate tales will immerse themselves in it, like I did. This book was full of adventure and self-discovery and is definitely something I could see myself giving my son to read in about five years. Totally fun and definitely worth it!
